established in 1979 for designer breeds, breeders and owners so they may benefit and enjoy the same registration privileges and validity  
from which todays established breeds benefit. The Designer Breed Registry provides a certificate  of registration  and also offers
pedigree services to designer breeds and purebred dogs.
Documentation of Ancestry/Certified Ancestry -  includes registration information and titles and pedigrees from other acceptable
registries
The Designer Breed Registry offers breeders and owners of designer breeds who have not yet been able to establish ancestry
through another registry the opportunity to start a data base which will show a documented  ancestry and begin to establish a data base.
Developing Breeds -  for breeds that are being developed
the Designer Breed Registry realizes the importance of registration as it creates a  data base specific to each dog registered This data
base is imperative as a course from which the DNA of individual dogs can be taken when looking for specific genetic breed markers.
These breed markers are essential when identifying a breed.  
The Designer Breed Registry also offers the opportunity to title
designer dogs in obedience and conformation through our innovative program - Title By  Video
