Registration of Kennel Name Application

The American Dog Federation offers breeders the Registered Kennel Name Program to protect the use of their kennel's
name in the naming of Designer Breed Registry registered dogs. The use of a registered kennel name allows breeders to name dogs of
their breeding in an identifiable manner creating a prominent familial foundation in the breed.
Registered Kennel Names granted on or after July 1, 2008 are breed specific. An applicant may request the name
for multiple breeds but must meet the requirements herein.
processing fee of $125.00 is required. Fee is subject to change without notice. Each breed over 4 is an additional $10.00
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS CAREFULLY. ALL REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET
AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION FOR THE GRANTING OF A REGISTERED KENNEL NAME.
APPLICATION INFORMATION WILL BE VERIFIED THROUGH REVIEW OF AMERICAN DOG FEDERATION RECORDS.
THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENT MUST BE MET BY THE APPLICANT
A breeder, who has bred at least one registered litter.
THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS GOVERN THE GRANTING OF A REGISTERED KENNEL NAME:
The American Dog Federation is not responsible for the use of this kennel name through other registries and breeders
whose dogs are not registered through the American Dog Federation
The name may be a unique word/s created by the applicant.
The name may contain a maximum of two words and a maximum of 15 total characters and spaces.
Ineligible words would include, but are not limited to, conflict either phonetically or in spelling with: the
name of a breed, ADF titles, names of cities, family names, corporations or trade names, names of famous
and universally recognized persons, living or dead, derogatory or discriminatory words or words commonly used in the naming of dogs.
The granting of a Registered Kennel Name is at the sole discretion of the American Dog Federation
The American Dog Federation reserves the right to reject an application.
Renewal fee is $125.00 renewable for 5 year periods.
