| Blue Ribbon Program: Dogs eligible for the Designer Breed Registry Blue Ribbon Program must have 3 generations of documented records showing that that Designer Breed has been only bred to the same designer cross and that individual is the 3rd generation , for example: Jimbo A (Puggle) 1st generation Jimbo B (Puggle) 2nd generation Blue Ribbon Puggle Jim Dandy 3rd generation Dandy B (Puggle) 2nd generation Dandy A (Puggle) 1st generation Blue Ribbon Program individuals must have a DNA profile and micro chip on file with the DBR. All breeders wishing to be enrolled in the Blue Ribbon Program must have all generations (Sires & Dams) 1 thru 3 DNA profiled and micro chipped.All litters must be registered with the DBR. Litter Registration If you have a designer breed ie Puggle and you will be breeding to another Puggle this would be considered the first generation both sire and dam must be micro chipped and DNA profiled at which time they will be enrolled in the Designer Breed Registry Blue Ribbon Program. There is no charge from 06/01/2007 - 12/31/2007for enrollment in the Blue Ribbon Program, after 12/31/2007 there will be a $15.00 enrollment fee. Blue Ribbon Program records will be kept on file for future reference in the event that the Breeder is accepted into the Elite Program and as a data base for pedigrees. All Blue Ribbon Puppies will be issued a certificate stating the status of the puppy. Your information on each puppy's individual registration papers will note that you the breeder are enrolled in the Blue Ribbon Program. Sire and Dam's DNA# will be on the registration papers of each puppy. There will be a free pedigree for each Blue Ribbon puppy that is individually registered. Register your dogs now and apply to become a Blue Ribbon Breeder.
