                     Conformation Title
CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE/CONFORMATION CHAMPION and explanation of CLASSES
CURRENTLY THIS YEAR 2018, THE ADF IS WORKING ON REVISING AND SIMPLIFYING THE SHOW POINT SYSTEMS
FOR GRAND CHAMPION AND BEYOND.
Issued to dogs registered with the ADF. Dogs may or may not be registered with another registry. Championship ratings are as follows: Dogs as well as
puppies and altered individuals who are competing for their Championship Title can receive the following ratings A1, A2, A3 by the judges
evaluating them and  must receive three A-1 ratings  to obtain their championship status.  Dogs receiving 3 A1 ratings  will compete within
their breed for BOB- Best of Breed  those dogs will then compete in their group the winner will receive a First in Group his subgroup and then
judged against the remaiNIng groups  of his kind, that winner will go on to compete in BIS Best in Show.   
POINT SYSTEM IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE BASED ON AREA OF THE COUNTRY.

Ratings are as follows:

RATINGS IN CLASSES
Dogs 1  year and under 7 years , Veterans, Foundation  
3 A-1 Ratings Required for Championship title
* Best in show from the classes automatically earns the Grand Champion title
•A -1 =   Superior
•A -2 =   Good
•A -3 =   Acceptable
•F = FAIR ( No Certificate)
•U =  UNSATISFACTORY DISQUALIFYING CONFORMATION FAULT.  ( no certificate)

PUPPY/YOUTH 3 Months Of Age Under 12 Months Of Age
3 A-1 Ratings Required for a Junior Championship
*Best in show from the classes automatically earns the Junior Grand Champion title
•A -1 = Superior  
•A -2 = Good
•A -3 = Acceptable
F = FAIR

BEST OF BREED- BOB
Champions of record and any dog winning his Championship the day of the show will compete in this class
that winner will go on to Best in Group (see groups) The winners of each respective group will compete for their group
judging, That winner will go on to compete for BIS- Best in show.
Example:
Our working group has 8 subgroups within it , all eight-8 winners will compete against one another for the placements of
Group - 1 2-3-4- The group 1 winner from that group will go on to compete against the other 6 group winners for BIS - Best in
Show.

PUPPY CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES
  • Puppy 3months and  under 12months    receives    Junior Champion title


Veteran Champion will also receive a longevity certificate.
  • Dogs 7 years and older
  • The dog must receive three A-1 ratings under three different judges


Merit Champion Certificate
  • Issued to spayed and neutered dogs 1 years of age or older.
  • The dog must receive three A-1 ratings under three different judges


The following are the adult dog conformation titles and how they are won
CHAMPION
  • Dogs who have reached 1 year of age to 7 years of age
  • The dog must receive three A-1 ratings under three different judges

Dogs competing for the Grand Champion title must first be an ADF Champion

Champions who are seeking their Grand Champion Title, do  compete against each other.  
There must be at least 2 dogs competing being dogs and or bitches entered for the Grand Champion Title
Dogs need 5 points for the Grand Champion title which are accumulated in the following way:
  • Best in show from the classes automatically earns the Grand Champion title
  • Each Champion of record competes against the other champions of their breed entered in that class.
  • THERE MUST BE (IN TOTAL) AT LEAST
  • 5 dogs must be entered - 5 Points
  • 4 dogs must be entered - 4 Points
  • 3 dogs must be entered - 3 Points
  • 2 dogs must be entered - 2 Points
  • Dogs and Bitches will be judged separately
The judges will then select Best of Breed and that dog/bitch who wins will recieve  the highest
number of points available that day from their  class entered  toward their Grand Champion title.
Bitches will be judged separately


Class - Grand Champion Supreme
Dogs need 5 points for the Grand Champion Supreme title which are accumulated in the following way:
Each Grand Champion of record competes against the other champions of their breed entered in that class.

  • 5 dogs  must be entered - 5 Points
  • 4 dogs must be entered - 4 Points
  • 3 dogs must be entered - 3 Points
  • 2 dogs must be entered - 2 Points
  • Dogs and Bitches will be judged separately
The judges will then select Best of Breed and that dog and bitch who win will receive  the highest
number of points available that day from their  class entered  toward their Grand Champion title.
Bitches will be judged separately


Register of Merit Title (ROM)  Do compete against each other.
Dogs Competing for Register Of Merit (ROM)
  • Grand Champion Supreme can build points after each win, once reaching 5 points, shall also carry an
additional title of Register of Merit/ROM.
  • THERE MUST BE ( IN TOTAL) AT LEAST
  • 5 dogs  must be entered - 5 Points
  • 4 dogs must be entered -  4 Points
  • 3 dogs must be entered -  3 Points
  • 2 dogs must be entered -  2  Points
  • Dogs and Bitches will be judged separately however the number of dogs and bitches entered will be combined
The judges will then select Best of Breed and the dog and bitch who wins will receive  the highest
number of points available that day from their  class entered  toward their Grand Champion title.
Bitches will be judged separately

The winning dog and winning bitch will receive the ADF register of merit medal.
