| The Designer Breed Registry Code Of Ethics is presented as a guideline setting forth standards for dog breeders and dog owners to promote and foster the highest standards when owning, selling, breeding and caring for all puppies and dogs. Promoting sharing of dog information. All who register their dog/s with the Designer Breed Registry are obviously dog lovers who should strive to give their canine family member/s the best possible environment both mentally and physically. The Designer Breed Registry suggests that all dog breeders should keep accurate breeding records of all litters produced for their own information and the advancement of their breeding program. Member dog breeders should be ethical in the sale of their puppies. All advertising should be honest and in no way fraudulent.Each puppy or dog sold should have the dog information pertinent to the puppies date of birth, identification of parents and health record. Puppies should not be sold before 7 weeks of age, and must not be shipped before 8 weeks of age. Dog breeders should keep accurate records of their sales. No sales to laboratories. No sales to individuals who use dogs for fighting. No participation in dog fighting activities. |
